Yes, more great Cincinnati music to laud today here on Each Note Secure. A band that has really made some noise here in 2007 in the area is already branching out and has been signed by a label out of Washington DC, Lujo Records. As a matter of fact, it did not take long for Lujo to reach out to the Poms after they self released their Two Eyes EP in June of this year. You gotta love it when a band can go from non-existant one year ago, to a label deal today.

The four piece has a great indie rock/ pop vibe going on that some have compared to early Modest Mouse. I think there are way more levels to this early stuff on the EP however, and the potential that Lujo saw is more and more obvious with repeated listens. Some of the tunes that stick out include “Nursery Magic”, the first song the band recorded, and “Osidius The Emphatic”. You can check out Nursery Magic on a recent Local Lixx episode as well (Episode #4.)

But right now, enjoy a song that I linked to late last week that will be on an upcoming Lujo compilation, and could also make it to the Pomegranates full length debut, which is due in early 2008.
