When I think about thick guitars and classic rock leaning sound along with some tinges of psychedelia, the first thing I think of is Canada. You do too right? Ok, so maybe that is not true, but in recent years, it’s something that is becoming a reality, with bands from north of the border like Black Mountain sounding a bit more like they belong in the 1960’s or 1970’s rather than in our current music culture.

And Quest For Fire fit that profile as well, hailing from Toronto and featuring ex-members of acts including Cursed, No No Zero, & The Deadly Snakes. Their six song debut EP (with only one tune clocking in at under 6 minutes) is coming out on the TeePee Records label on June 9th, and their rock infused burners are something you are bound to fall for, especially if you dig bands like Black Mountain or The Black Angels.
