Local concert goers might remember the Radiodown venue in Covington years ago. The venue was not around too long but I recall hitting a few shows when it was located above Tickets sports bar. Well, the people behind that venue later went on to open the Mad Hatter and have had a good amount of success at that space, also in Covington.
And now, they are bringing the Radiodown name back to the Cincinnati area in the space right behind the Mad Hatter. The two venues will co-exist and both will bring in live music on a regular basis. This additional space gives Covington and the Cincinnati area another option for great live music and hopefully will make the tri-state as a whole a more attractive option for touring bands.
The Radiodown space is already getting booked up for the summer months, and will officially have its opening weekend with three excellent shows. On May 13th Cincy electo due You, You’re Awesome will open up the new digs and then the following night, more great local music will be represented from All The Day Holiday. On May 15th, Each Note Secure is proud to be presenting yet another great local show at this new venue featuring Pomegranates, The Seedy Seeds,No No Knots, Enlou and Walk The Moon.
The entire slate looks tasty and we hope you agree, this new venue should be a great thing for the area and for the music community.

Hopefully it has a better vibe than the tacky neon lit, roller rink carpeted Mad Hatter does. Ick!
