To help celebrate Record Store Day 2012 tomorrow, our friends at Dead Oceans Records have a really great contest idea. They are asking you to take photos of your Record Store Day hauls, run them through Instagram and tag with #DOCRSD.

Actually, here are the specific instructions from Dead Oceans…

Step ONE: Make a purchase on Record Store Day
Step TWO: Take a photo of yourself with your purchase WHILE YOU’RE STILL IN THE STORE or at least visibly in front
Step THREE: Post the photo to Instagram
Step FOUR: TAG your photo with #DOCRSD
Step FIVE: Go home and listen to your new music!

Dead Oceans will be picking a handful of winners next week, and winners will receive some sweet Dead Oceans vinyl care packs.
