Red Monroe - ¡Policia! ¡Policia!

Some great new music to bring you today, straight out of Dallas, Texas. The band, Red Monroe caught my attention last year with their debut self titled EP and are following that effort up now with a full length album titled ¡Policia! ¡Policia!.

The new album sees the band begin to really mature and tighten things up on this effort and as far as debut albums go, it really shines. There are a few straight up rockers on this disc, the best of which is Sundown Shade, which sounds like it could have easily fit on an early White Stripes album. The album has a few other tunes I am really enjoying early on as well, and the first half of the disc is where most of the energy lies.

Yet another “band to watch” in the upcoming months here in Red Monroe. Be sure to check out their album by purchasing it online here.
