We were huge fans of Playing With Scratches, the 2008 album from Ruckus Roboticus that featured samples from old childrens albums. The Dayton, Ohio DJ is a really talented individual who has also done remix work for the likes of Bloc Party, Fools Gold and many more. And now, some new beats are beginning to surface from the Gem City as Ruckus has returned with a new EP titled “Chicks.”

I have been listening to the title track all week and it has that same infectious mixture of sounds and beats that got us addicted to Playing With Scratches. The EP is available now from RR himself, and features remixes by Frankie J (The Sound Republic), Hot Mess (Dirty Circuit / Drumz), and DJ Wood (Good Groove).
