		<description>Wow, stumbled on this post.  Picked up the new album, and have been listening to it the last few days.  Its a good album, but I think I prefer most of their older stuff better.

Been a huge fan of Sloan since their first LP.

Looking forward to going to see them in a few hours, since the Kitchener date is literally a couple blocks walk from my house!</description>

I&#039;m a Canadian and have been following Sloan for a long time now.  Although they are popular up here I do not think they are as popular as they should be after the string of great albums they have put out over the last 10 years.  I was lucky enough to see them recently in Edmonton at a relatively small venue ... less than 2000 people.  Amazing show.
If you like this album try to get your hands on a 1996 release entitled Navy Blues.  Arguably their best work and this new offering reminds me of it more than anything else they have put out.
