Here she is, 2007, another year gone by and another year to look forward to, tons of great stuff to write about already, here is some news and notes from around the blogosphere early in the new year.
~ Peter Bjorn and Johns album, “Writers Block” will be getting a stateside release after all, and on a new label, “Almost Gold Recordings”. The album will be on our shelves here on February 6th and with a bonus disc. (from Brooklyn Vegan)
~ The 7th annual Bloggies are now open for nominations. And finally, a music category! Head on over and vote for all your favorite blogs and give ENS a nod if you feel we deserve it.
~ This summer there was an great celebration in Chicago for Touch and Go’s 25th anniversary. Bradleys Almanac was there and he has some excellent live audio up from the festival. (Bradleys Almanac)
~ Matt from You Aint No Picasso lists his top 20 favorite shows of 2006. Hey Matt, what about that Final Fantasy show? (YANP)
~ The Gum has already compiled a list of 2007 releases to get excited about, The Shins, Arcade Fire, and Of Montreal are among them. (Stereogum)
