Just got back from a quick round of bargain shopping at the local indie record store Phil’s Records. The little guys always have what im looking for and if not they offer to get it. Cant say that for the Best Buys and Circuit City big box shops of the world. Today’s visit was mostly to grab the new Grandaddy album Just Like the Fambly Cat, that was a big success, and only for 12.99. That may have been a buck or two more than the big box has it, but I scoured the used bin and picked up these gems.
Glenn Kotche- Mobile for 7.99$
The Essex Green- Cannibal Sea for 3$
Idlewild- Warnings/Promises for 3$
Peter Walker- Young Gravity for 3$
Lovely…..support your local indie store.

Shopping the big guys just isn’t as fun anyway. There is something magical about shopping at the indie stores.
