The Airborne Toxic Event are a brand new discovery for me, they sent along a song that Im really enjoying. The band is named after a chapter in the book “White Noise” by Don Delillo in which that large chemical cloud happens over the city.
This tune, “Wishing Well” is a toe tapping poppy piece of music that could well along side a catchy 80s tune you may not be able to stop humming. Airborne Toxic wear the UK influences on their sleeve despite being native to California. Wishing Well was also recently nominated for the song of the year in the LA Music Awards.
If you are gonna be at CMJ, Airborne Toxic Event are playing Friday November 3rd with that band the Red Romance at the R&R.

I am sick and tired of bands that sound like they should have come out in 2004. This band sucks.
What band in 2004 sounds like this? And if you say Modest Mouse or Franz Ferdinan, what’s wrong with that? Anyways, I found them a few weeks ago whilst searching for new music on myspace and fell in love instantly. There aren’t that many bands that are this fly, so why not love them?
They sound great, I’m happy to say they’re playing in NYC tonight. I’ll be there!
this band sux fat donkey balls like every other lame inde rock band flooding the airwaves….what happened to rock n roll..it seems its become a bunch of anerexic white kids wearing girls jeans and makeup…
