Every now and then a band that wears thier influences like The Black Angels makes us stand up and notice. The Austin based band has Velvet Underground influences written all over them. Right down to the band name. Thier new disc, Passover is really good rock and roll. And I dont say that much. So far this is one of the better rock albums Ive heard this year. If BRMC had taken a turn for the darker instead of the folk trip, they might sound like this.
