Paperbag records is in the news yet again, last week we talked about the new disc from Controller, Controller and this week labelmate The Deadly Snakes are seeing some press. I got this album about a month ago on advance and after the first listen I admit I was a little confused. Call me simple but whenever a band goes with multiple vocalists it throws me for a loop at first. Sounds like a compilation for a minute. However after multiple listenings i can say that this is quite good. Think lots and lots of instruments, multiple vocalists, The Hives, gospel and blues BRMC, and some good old Doors sound and you probably have about half of this album.
