Ireland’s own, The Frames are back with their sixth studio album this spring. The album, titled, “The Cost” was recorded live to capture the bands spontaneous energy on-stage. I think the album is a return to form for the band, as many fans were a little dissapointed with the bands
Anti debut, “Burn the Maps” back in 2005.
The Cost, is soft and soaring. With harmnonies that are very Coldplay-ish. Here are two samples from the record, which is out February 20th from Anti Records.
More news from The Frames sees Glen Hanspard starring in an Irish film about the relationship between a street musician and a Czech pianist (Marketa Irglova). The name of the film is “Once” and also features two songs from the new Frames album, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and won its prestigious World Cinema Audience Award.
