Last month at the Desdemona Festival, Ryan and I were minding our own in the hospitality room when Mike Lamping from The Heartless Bastards approached us and asked if we were “from Filter Magazine”?

We got into a discussion with him and Erika Wennestrom about THB, and what was on the horizon for them. Mike mentioned that the new disc was pressed, ready to go, and “in my van right now”. Of course I asked for a copy, only to find out that Erika had promised the last two to some other bands playing at the fest.

Well, I have a copy now and the sophmore disc from the Cincinnati band is quite impressive in the early going. Here are two tracks from the upcoming album to be released next month on Fat Possum, “All This Time”.
