As far as local releases go, there are not many Cincinnati albums that get anywhere near the debut, self titled disc from The Light Wires from 2003. Since then, the band has toured quite a bit, and for the most part, called it quits in the process. Each member has done several other projects, but for me, nothing topped that Light Wires album. Rumors spread as to whether or not the material the band had recorded in between the first record and the breakup would ever surface, but I was not holding my breath.
And now, well, it happened. Local label Tiberius have just released what I like to call, the “lost” Light Wires album, The Invisible Hand and you can grab it right now. Among the new batch of songs is an old live favorite of mine, “Go On By” as well as a tune included on a local compilation, “The Hum Of Black Machines.”
There are a very limited number of hand-made, hand-packaged hard copies available. The album is also available digitally through Amazon, Rhapsody, & I-Tunes. Pick up your copy from Tiberius today…
Have a listen to one of the new songs right now below as well.
