The National Announce New Album, Tour Dates

The guys from The National are ready, ready to make 2013 a memorable year. The time has come for the release of a brand new album, and a big tour to support the new tunes. The announcement became official today as the band let fans know when to expect the new record, and added tour dates to one we already knew about here in Cincinnati at Bunbury Music Festival.

The new record is scheduled for May, and the tour kicks off during the same month at a show in Ithaca, New York on the 16th at The State Theatre before a big show at the new Barclays Center in the bands current hometown, Brooklyn. The tour then stretches through the midwest a bit and then the east coast and back to our neck of the woods for a show in Columbus, Ohio on June 15th.

The band heads to Europe then and comes back home for a headlining spot at the Bunbury Music Festival on July 14th here in Cincinnati.

Tickets go on sale at the bands website starting this Friday March 1st.

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.
