Since it’s spring now, officially, it’s also time to be in full on buzz mode for the new album from The National. And speaking of buzz, it’s part of the title to the new song the band just made available for download on their website.
So if you are a fan of The National, and especially if you are an Ohioan, you can take special pride in the title of the new track “Blood Buzz Ohio,” which you can also download below. Up until now, a radio rip was making the rounds of this track but I assure you, this is a much better version straight from the band.
High Violet is due out May 11.

The National will close out the Big Ears festival in Knoxville, TN on Sunday, March 28. The festival is being co-curated by The National guitarist Bryce Dessner, who is also curating the MusicNow festival here in Cincinnati, OH set next week.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the amazing music. You guys are one big genius and we all would be missing out on so much without yal.. Keep up the brilliant work!! I also wanted to let ya know i made a cover video of the song “The Runaway”……Not because i thought i could even hint at making it sound like the real deal but I made it for my sake so i could feel the emotion of the song while playing and singing it. And it felt truly amazing. I was lost in my own world during it.. I hope its somewhat decent but i though I would let it be judged by the creators called The National.
