The National Debut Some New Material

The National are just about due for a new album if you base things on their track record. After all, their debut album came out in 2001, in 2003 we got Sad Songs For Dirty Lovers, in 2005 it was Alligator and Boxer hit stores in 2007. So maybe something new is imminent from the former Cincinnati boys here in 2009?

Well, some evidence below suggests that it is, starting with a performance they did recently Live At Studio Q. The song performed is called “The Runaway” and you can watch and listen below.

And secondly, another live track, this one a live taped in Montreal during a recent concert, and titled “Blood Buzz Ohio”, check it out below and get ready to be anxious for a new National record….

The National Debut Some New Material

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.
