Yes! Great Monday morning news as some of our favorite people and musicians, The National are returning for a bit of a surprise show on October 4th here in Cincinnati! The show will be at the historic Emery Theatre in Over The Rhine.

The National are campaigning for President Barack Obama again this year, and the show is a ‘GottaVote’ gig. Just like in 2008 when the band took the stage at Fountain Square with The Breeders, the Brooklyn by way of Cincinnati band are showing their support to the POTUS by playing shows in their home state just one month before the voting begins.

The band are also playing the night before, October 3, in Columbus at Newport Music Hall.

It looks like the band will be staying in town for another show / fundraiser on October 5th as well, according to Reuters Politics.
More details on the way soon!

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.
