High Violet might be the ENS album of the year. However, that is not the award the boys took home this week in the UK. Shunning any potential releases from now until the end of the year (there aren’t many anyway), The National have taken home the hardware from the folks at Q magazine.
Not only did the boys win, but they did so in impressive fashion, beating out the likes of Green Day, Arcade Fire, Kings Of Leon and Muse. ‘High Violet’ debuted at #5 on the UK album charts, and #3 on the Billboard 200 in the US when it was released in May.
Congratulations to the Cincinnati boys!
