The Return of Son Volt

Its been awhile and Im actually quite pleased that Son Volt will be returning. Thier greatest hits effort comes out tomorrow and a new release is slated for July.

Trace was one of the best alt country albums to drop in my opinon and it stands the test of time. In the years after the breakup of Uncle Tupleo, Jay Farrar landed on his feet first and was running while former fellow bandmates now in Wilco were still a bit stunned. In the time since however, Wilco has become one of the best bands in recent memory while Jay has a hard time filling small bars for his solo act any more. So, here comes Son Volt. Lets see what happens……..

Here is the tracklist for tomorrows release
1: DROWN
2: WINDFALL
3: ROUTE
4: REX’S BLUES
5: LOOKING AT THE WORLD THROUGH A WINDSHIELD
6: TOO EARLY
7: BACK INTO YOUR WORLD

9: I’VE GOT TO KNOW*
10: CREOSOTE
