The Sheds Get Drunk For Lunch

thesheds.jpgThe talented songwriters behing The Sheds are back with a new CD this month. It is titled “You’ve Got A Light” and is another example of their maturing talents. Chris and Cam have been able to put their heads down and write some great music since they began collaborating in 2005. From the utterly hilarious to the sobering and honest, The Sheds music covers it all. And I know I have said this in the past, but you have to appreciate when two guys can pour their hearts out on paper, sweat over the recordings and arrangements and then make it all available to you, the listener, for free, no strings attached. And that is just what The Sheds continue to do, because deep down they know you will become a fan, if only exposed to the music.

The follow up to “The Sheds Quit Smoking” is a much more consistent effort for the band. While Quite Smoking had a couple songs that clearly stood above the rest, this record seems to flow in a more steady direction. And while songs like “All The Right Things”, “The World Is Changing” and “Drunk For Lunch” are worth a highlight, there isn’t a track you should ignore on the disc. The boys also invite a slew of guests, (Matthew Shelton, The Seedy Seeds) the majority of which can be found on “Reflection Of The Sun.”

Sample these two songs and then mark your calendars for the physical CD release show on April 28th @ The Southgate House. THe band will be playing with J Roddy that night as well.
