If you have read ENS much, you know we don’t mind getting folked up on a regular basis. Yeah, sorry for that bad pun, sometimes I can’t resist. But folk music is near and dear to our hearts and one of the better folk acts to come along is about to release a new album. The Tallest Man On Earth is the stage name for Swedish troubadour Kristian Mattson and we really went head over heels for his debut album a couple years ago, Shallow Grave.
Well, Mattson is back and is once again peddling his simplistic but overall emotional and impactful brand of storytelling with a new record The Wild Hunt. You can pre-order the album now from Dead Oceans, and of course we recommend you snag it on vinyl. The first 175 pre-orders will also receive a bonus CD single for “King of Spain” that was exclusively sold on his recent European tour.
Download a new song from the album right now for free called “Burden Of Tomorrow.”

The Wild Hunt is out April 13th and then Mattson will be touring the US, maybe coming to a city near you.
