We head to Omaha, Nebraska today to zero in on Tilly & The Wall and their new album, O. O is nothing more than a working title for an album without one. The third album from the five-piece is was once again a homegrown affair, being released again on the Team Love label, but the sound of this record is more than what you might expect.
For their third long player, Tilly & The Wall have taken all that was and is good about indie pop scene and expanded it with some hard hitting, nearly biting, tunes. A great example is the first single for the album, Pot Kettle Black, which could easily have been included on the most recent Be Your Own Pet or Yeah Yeah Yeahs albums. And while the band do not remain in that angst mode throughout, still delivering some of the sugary sweetness they are probably best known for on this album, it certainly either uncovers, or rediscovers a new leaf.
The album hits stores next Tuesday, June 17th, but you can download Pot Kettle Black below, right now.
