Just when you think the concert season is freezing up like the weather, the good folks at MOTR in Over The Rhine spring a new show on you. That’s what happened this week when it was announced that Columbus lo-fi specialists Times New Viking would be coming to town.

The band have not released a new album this year, but are still a real treat live, despite what you might think about some of their recorded material. I say this because it’s pretty polarizing stuff on record, but live, some of those rough edges seem to get smoothed out.

TNV are playing this Sunday night, December 5th at MOTR, and will be supported by Cincinnati band Vacation.
