It’s been a good month already for live music in Cincinnati, and the next week plus is gonna ramp things up even more. Tonight is a great night to get out yet again as Austin, Texas based Harlem are in town over at the Southgate House touring off the strength of their debut for the Matador label Hippies.

These are really strange dudes that make really great music and this is their first trip into the tri-state area. The lo-fi / garage rock sound that Harlem create is one I have been listening to for a couple years, and it’s great to see it get exposed to a larger audience thanks to Matador records. These guys are one of the hottest bands in a very hot city for bands (Austin) and you should really get out and see them while the buzz is still building.
