So, I am a admitted fan of almost everything U2, and am pretty excited about the reissue of Joshua Tree coming this week. The classic album is in dire need of a freshening up and it appears that this collection will do just that. The “Super Deluxe” Edition features three CD’s, the last of which is full of DVD content (from a Paris show in 1987) and also comes with a 56 page hardback embossed book, featuring previously unseen Anton Corbijn photos, handwritten lyrics by Bono and liner notes by the band.

Also, you will notice in the tracklisting that they are also unveiling a new song from the Joshua Tree sessions that never saw the light of day called “Wave Of Sorrow.” And in one of the stranger Bono moves I can remember, have decided to let it “premiere” on Facebook in vlog form as the Paul Hewson himself sings over the track and gabs about it in the 5 minute video below. Check it……

Yeah, thats just a little odd isn’t it? Anyway, it won’t keep me from picking up this excellent gift very soon…..

I think of myself as a very open minded music appreciator, collector, listener, etc. And Johnny Cash was a definite one-of-a-kind musician and American icon. Two of my favorite Cash tunes are “Big River” and “I Still Miss Someone” mainly because I can strum the chords on my acoustic!

    Thanks
