Vacation Record Release Show @ MOTR 7/29

“Vacation pick at punk and surf rhythms, but Candy Waves is skittering noise pop shed of any pretenses. Lyrics aren’t muddled in metaphors or abstractions, but are rather self-depreciating and attuned to the immediacy of the fever-dream drums throttles.” - Consequence of Sound
Vacation LP Release Show w/ Potty Mouth
July 29
Cincinnati noise pop trio Vacation are celebrating the release of their second LP Candy Waves at MOTR on July 29. They’ll have CDs, tapes and LPs of the new record thanks to Don Giovanni Records and Let’s Pretend Records. Joining them is Potty Mouth (Old Flame Records), an all-female post punk band from Northhampton, Mass.
Vacation’s new record is getting buzz from Spin, Stereogum, Pitchfork, and Consequence of Sound. Meanwhile Potty Mouth has attracted buzz from NPR, Stereogum, Pitchfork, and Bust. Both bands seem like they’re on the cusp of blowing up, so you better catch them at MOTR while you can.
