This Saturday should be a great day of music at Washington Park as a great lineup of local bands will be playing an afternoon party right in the heart of our city across from Music Hall. Today I thought it would be fun to focus in a bit on the bands playing the festival just so you can get a taste of what Saturday should be like. Check out the details below and make sure you hit up the Washington Park Music Festival this Saturday afternoon!

Bad Veins
- Ben and Sebastian are the two guys that make up Bad Veins and they are no stranger to our humble site badveins1.jpg here. We first gave our readers the news about these guys about a year ago and lots of great stuff has happened for the guys since. In addition to playing twice in the WOXY.com lounge, Bad Veins have opened for the likes of Silversun Pickups, Apples in Stereo, Viva Voce, Snowden and have also impressed on two trips to New York City. It will not be long until you see a wise label snatch these guys up.

Bad Veins - Gold & Warm

Pearlene - Truly one of the best kept secrets here in Cincinnati is Pearlene and their live show. The band really brings a pearlene.jpg great mix of blues and garage rock to the stage that has become more and more consistent over time. Their latest album, For Western Violence and Brief Sensuality, should be a part of every Cincy music fans collection.

Pearlene - Hosannah

The Sundresses
- These guys are not only also a veteran of the WOXY.com lounge, but have also played a few times at sundresses.jpgSXSW down in Austin, Texas. While their sound is rooted in blues and rock, thier punk attitude spills over into their music and live show as well which makes for a more than entertaining concert every time they take the stage.

The Sundresses - Spiderman Song

500 Miles To Memphis - Often described as “country punk”, 500 Miles are vets of the Cincy scene and while there has500miles.gif been a rotating cast of members, the band has always stayed true to their rockabilly and hard rock DNA. Their latest album, Sunshine In A Shotglass was released this summer on Deep Elm Records and is arguably their best album to date.
