Wow, I think we went a couple months without a Wilco related posting here, ok, maybe not that long. At any rate there is more news surrounding the band that is surfacing this week. First off, Pitchfork is reporting that Wilco will be releasing an expanded version of their latest long player, Sky Blue Sky with some bonus tracks that some of us nerds already have, but have not been available on CD until now.
The bonus SBS will have the tunes, “The Thanks I Get”, “Let’s Not Get Carried Away”, and “One True Vine”, plus live renditions of “Impossible Germany” and “Hate It Here” recorded in September at the Fillmore in Denver. You may recall that One True Vine was a featured track on a indie stores only bonus disc for early purchasers of the album, while Let’s Not Get Carried Away, which is a great great song, was an ITunes exclusive.
The expanded version will be available in stores throughout the UK and Europe. And for us sad saps here in the states that bought the album already. Or some of us that bought the CD+Bonus DVD, Vinyl, and ITunes exclusives…….uh, that was me, anyway, for all of us the band will issue download instructions for the bonus tracks pretty soon as well.
In other Wilco news, the bands fourth trip to play Austin City Limits was recently aired last weekend for the first time, some video of the performance awaits you below, thanks to Aquarium Drunkard.

Oh that’s great news, and indeed sad news for us who’ve already bought the regular versions… But maybe I’ll sell the reg and buy the Limited Edition instead !!!
Thanks for the news anyway and this “new” song, One True Vine, it’s a gem!
