bastards Win Tickets: A special acoustic evening with Heartless Bastards
A show that got me really excited initially, and then fell off of my radar for no specific reason is suddenly staring me right in the face. Hometown heroes Heartless Bastards are back in town again this week, for a special show at Southgate House and we want you to be in attendance. The Cincinnati natives are doing something a little different this time around, rather than a raucous rock show, the band will be performing their songs in a slightly more toned down way, with a special acoustic performance.

This is special because it’s not something the band do often, and so if you are in the “oh I’ve already seen that band” crowd, take a second look at this show and understand it will be unique.

As for the free tickets, we have some and want you to win them. Here is how you can. Leave a comment on this post letting us know what your favorite Heartless Bastards song is and why. Get on this fast people, the show is Thursday night!!!

Win Tickets: A special acoustic evening with Heartless Bastards

About

Joe started ENS in 2003 after most people he wanted to talk to about music were worn thin by his ramblings. The outlet this site provided helped out, and somehow is still going 9 years later. After a four year stint as a WOXY DJ, Joe returned to Cincinnati and continues to pioneer ENS. In addition to the overall look and feel of the site, Joe provides regular reviews, and kinda makes sure this whole thing stays afloat.

Tough call, but I have always enjoyed “Runnin.” I love how the song just plods along, slowly building up to Erika completely letting loose with her voice at the end.

Blue Day, captures the power of that tiny lady’s monster voice and is isn’t hard to relate to in the dark Cincinnati winter months. A great, honest tune.

“New Resolution”… Because (like the song states) I don’t even like myself half the time. As a twenty something lost in these times, I get this song.

Runnin’- I knew Erika before she started The Heartless Bastards. She has always been a great friend, geniune, honest and had this hidden talent. She gave me this white CD with black lettering of the band’s name. I was at an afterhours and a friend put in her CD. I hadn’t listened to it yet, and was just blown away. This quiet friend of mine with such a powerful voice. I made a short film and this song was in it. Erika said, “I could always see this song in a movie.” I was so proud she picked mine. I would love to see my friend Thursday, I really don’t have the money for a ticket. It came at a bad time. I never missed a show when she was here in Cincy and I really don’t want to miss this one. I would be most grateful to win a ticket. Thank you.

i don’t want to win the tickets, because i’m going to see R Buckner at MOTR, but i wanted to share anyway.

“brazen” is my favorite. it gets me moving no matter what mood i’m in. her yelling, up to the climax of the song is just great.

no, maybe it’s “searching for the ghost”. it’s got much emotional pull, yet is still rocks.
