One ticket giveaway ends and another one begins today here on ENS. And it’s not like we would give away tickets to a show we weren’t excited about, but this one has us really stoked. The show is on a Monday night next week, so you only have a few days to get your hands on a pair of tickets to see Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings along with The Heavy.
Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings recently released a brand new album called I Learned The Hard Way and it’s more of what we have come to love from this soul diva. Jones brings with her a band that will quickly fill up the Southgate House stage and a sound that will stick in your head for weeks afterwards.

In addition, The Heavy are in town opening up the show and I can’t recommend these guys enough. Their debut album Great Vengence And Furious Fire was one of the more underrated records of 2007 and now then last year they released another great neo-soul record The House That Dirt Built. People are finally starting to fall for The Heavy across the US now as well, as the band recently performed on Letterman and have a song that you already can’t get out of your head. Watch the video below and if you have a TV, I’m pretty sure you know the tune due to it’s use in several advertisements lately.
