A great week of live music is being topped off with yet another killer show at Southgate House in Newport. This Friday, we get to see Wolf Parade, hot on the heels of their brand new album Expo 86. The band are out on the road and headed to Chicago for this weekends Pitchfork Festival, but make a stop in to see us first.
And as always, we want you to get out and see the show. So lets make this one a comment contest, leave me your favorite Wolf Parade song in the comments and you will be entered to win tickets to Friday’s show. This contest will be a quick one, and I will be closing it at the end of the day Thursday, so get your name into the mix fast.
Check out a great new tune from Wolf Parades latest below.
Wolf Parade – What Did My Lover Say? (It Always Had To Be This Way)
Hard decision, but I have to go with:
Fancy Claps
Oh behold
The parapet’s falling out
We’ll behold
When it reaches the ground
We’ll behold
We’ll behold, when
We can sing
To cracks in the crossbeams
We can sing
Very very quietly
We can sing
We can sing for each other
Until then don’t tear your hair out
I won’t tear it out if you don’t
When I die
I’m making you my feet
When you die
You can stand up for me
Make a lie and all they can do you can put me in your hair I’ll be happy there
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh oh
Oh behold
When my parapet’s fallen out
You’ll behold
When we’ve picked it up off the ground
We’ll behold then
We’ll behold then
We can sing then
We’ll behold then!

Where we’re chain chain chain chain, chained to the life
But that’s fine, our blood is alive”
