Here is another band from the UK that I am excited about making their US debut. Working For A Nuclear Free City really turned my head earlier this year when I heard their Rocket EP and really left me wanting more from the band. Well, looks like they have loads more to offer, as their debut US release will be a 2 CD set.

The debut album, Businessmen & Ghosts is due out November 13th on Deaf Dumb & Blind Recordings and the US version has some exclusive goodies on it. In addition to the new album, we here in the states will get WFANFC’s debut UK album, the Rocket EP and some additional bonus tracks as well.

These guys from Manchester began as a studio project of brothers Phil and John Kay and school friend Gary McLure in 2001. At the start, the guys stuck mostly with instrumental tunes, and those are still present on their current recordings. However it may have been the addition of bassist Ed McLure to the mix, who introduced dance beats and vocals to the tracks, that really pushed them over the edge.

Enjoy this sample from the new album, this one coming from the Businessmen CD titled, “Troubled Son.”
