One of my favorite new local bars, MOTR, is really starting to up the ante. The bar, located on Main Street in the old space occupied by Coopers already has as good of a beer selection (mostly local) in town. And now, thanks to MidPoint booker extraordinaire Dan McCabe, is starting to book some great live music as well. It kicks into high gear this weekend, with three nights of excellent local music. First up on Friday night are The Tillers, then on Saturday night it’s the Wussy CD release show. And to cap it off on Halloween night, The Pinstripes will be taking the stage.

In addition, Wussy have a remix CD that we will be talking more about soon of the songs on their new album.

All three bands are great, local and worth your time and attention. Add to that this great new venue and you get a can’t miss kinda weekend. So get out and support local bars, beer and bands this weekend, no costume required.
