You, You're Awesome
2010 has already been a busy year for Cincinnati based electronic due You, You’re Awesome, and it’s about to get busier. With a successful SXSW and a new EP already in their rearview, the pair are ready to take on whatever comes their way in the coming months. First order of business, remix The Answering Machine. If you are not already familiar with TAM, shame on you, they put out one of the better debut records we heard last year and hail from the UK. YYA remixed one of their songs last year, but it’s only now available for free download.

The Answering Machine – Obviously Cold (You, You’re Awesome Remix)

The guys also recently signed to the Bond Music Group, an outfit that should help push their sound even further and have a slew of spring tour dates to share.

May 7, 2010 – Cincinnati, OH (US) @ Cincinnati Art Museum – CLICK*

May 8, 2010 – Minneapolis, MN (US) @ Sauce Spirits And Soundbar w/ Blue Sky Blackout, BNLX

May 13, 2010 – Covington, KY (US) @ Radiodown (GRAND OPENING) w/ Pop Empire, Kasparov

May 16, 2010 – Chicago, IL (US) @ Subterranean w/ Coltrane Motion

May 17, 2010 – Chicago, IL (US) @ The Elbo Room

May 30, 2010 – Cincinnati, OH (US) @ The Taste of Cincinnati (CityBeat Stage) w/ The Hood Internet

And if that isn’t enough, well, the guys recorded a WOXY session back in March during SXSW and are able to share it with the world now after the internet radio station’s untimely demise. Check out a couple songs from the session below.

You, You’re Awesome – I’m Deaf & You’re Boring (Live On
You, You’re Awesome – All The Notion (Live On / Chocolate Horse cover)

Love The Answering Machine! I was trying to find bands similar to them and I came across this new band from Liverpool called Sound of Guns, don’t know if you’ve heard of them. I’d really recommend them, their music is wicked. Their new album is out this month. Here is their official site, check it out! –
